10 Day Italy & Medjugorje
DAY 01 – USA / ROME: Departure from the United States.
DAY 02 – ROME: (D/O) Arrival at Rome airport and reception by our English-speaking assistant. Transfer to the hotel and accommodation. Dinner and overnight in hotel.
DAY 03 – ROME: (HB) Buffet breakfast in hotel. Today enjoy a full-day sightseeing (with local guide) of the “Eternal City.” In the morning we’ll visit St. Peter’s Square and Basilica, where there are the tombs of the Saint and of the Popes. We will have the possibility to visit the Vatican Museums with the Sistine Chapel. In the afternoon we’ll complete our visit (with local guide) seeing the main Basilicas in Rome: The Basilica of St. Mary Major and the Basilica of St. John Lateran with the Holy Stairs Church. Return to your hotel for dinner and overnight.
DAY 04 – ROME: (HB) Buffet breakfast in hotel. Possibility to participate in the Papal Audience if it is Wednesday or to attend the Papal Blessing if it is Sunday. In the afternoon, we’ll visit (with local guide) the Basilica of St. Paul Outside the Walls. Dinner and overnight in hotel.
DAY 05 – ROME / CASCIA / ASSISI: (HB) Buffet breakfast in hotel. Depart to Assisi with a stop in Cascia, where we will visit the basilica of Santa Rita. Arrival and accommodation. Dinner and overnight in hotel.
DAY 06 - ASSISI: (HB) Buffet breakfast in hotel. Half-day panoramic city tour (with local guide) of this beautiful medieval city, including the Basilica of St. May of Angels (where “Porziuncola” is located), and the Basilicas of St. Clare and St. Francis (with the Tomb of the Saint). Rest of day at leisure. Dinner and overnight in hotel.
DAY 07 – ASSISI / LORETO / ANCONA (140KM+40KM+ferry): (HB) Buffet breakfast in hotel. Drive to Loreto to visit the Shrine of the Holy House. On to Ancona where we will take the ferry boat to Croatia. Dinner and overnight on board.
DAY 08 – SPLIT / MEDJUGORJE (140KM): (HB) Buffet breakfast on board. Disembark in Split pier. Transfer by motorcoach to Medjugorje. Arrival. Accommodation. In the evening we can participate to the Candlelight Procession. Dinner and overnight in hotel.
DAY 09 – MEDJUGORJE: (HB) Buffet breakfast in hotel. Full day dedicated to religious activities. We will climb Podbrdo or Apparition Hill, where on June 24th, 1981, Our Lady with a baby in her arms appeared to 6 young parishioners and keeps appearing and delivering us her messages. It will be possible to ascend the Mount Krizevac (Cross Mountain) and meet the Visioners (if available). Dinner and overnight in hotel.
DAY 10 – MEDJUGORJE / SPLIT (140KM) / DEPARTURE: (HB) Buffet breakfast in hotel. Return to Split to catch the return flight.
